Before Vertosoft, Chet showcased his prowess at GDIT, a position that saw him merging traditional strategy with cutting-edge digital insights. His leadership at SAIC further solidified his reputation as a tech visionary in technical leadership capacities.
But his journey didn’t start there. Chet’s impressive portfolio also includes strategic roles with industry giants like MarkLogic Corporation, BEA Systems, and Sun Microsystems. Each chapter of his career has been a testament to his ability to not only foresee the technological curve but to apply it in support of the most demanding government missions.

Jay Colavita is the President and Founder of Vertosoft LLC, bringing more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative technologies and services to government customers. He has held senior leadership roles at immixGroup, IBM, and BEA Systems, and has dedicated his career to accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies across the public sector. Jay’s expertise spans the full government acquisition lifecycle, giving him a deep understanding of how to connect mission needs with impactful technology solutions. He earned his degree from James Madison University, where he double majored in Computer Information Systems and Operations Management.
