What’s New?

The General Services Administration (GSA) is launching a recompete of its Second‑Generation Information Technology (2GIT) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), which originally runs from March 31st, 2021, through March 30th, 2026.

The Request for Information (RFI) for this recompete is now open, with responses due by August 22nd, 2025. This is a key opportunity for interested parties to submit feedback for review during the preparation of the final solicitation.

Key Facts About the Upcoming Recompete Include:

  • RFP release is anticipated in September 2025
  • Awards are expected by February 2026
  • Only contractors holding a GSA MAS (Schedule) are eligible to compete

Opportunity Highlights

  1. High Contract Value & Broad Scope: The 2GIT BPA is a $5.5 billion, Best-in-Class acquisition vehicle under GSA’s Multiple Award Schedule, providing IT hardware, software, and ancillary services to federal agencies as well as eligible state, local, and tribal entities.
  2. Key Benefits to Offer Agencies: Improved supply chain risk oversight through SCRM integration and category management practices that help collect prices-paid data, track savings, reduce duplicative contracting, and lower administrative overhead
  3. Mandatory Usage for Air Force: A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) mandates the vehicle’s use by USAF for commercial off-the-shelf IT products in the former NETCENTS‑2 scope.
  4. Small Business Inclusion: The current vehicle includes over 70 industry partners, with more than 50 small businesses among them. GSA emphasizes inclusion across socio‑economic categories.
