Meet the Speakers
Brian Kastning
CALIBRE Systems, Program Manager
Brian Kastning (Colonel Retired, US Army) currently works for CALIBRE Systems. He joined the CALIBRE team in June of 2024 after retiring at Redstone Arsenal, AL. His last assignment in the Army was serving as the G6, Chief Information Officer, for US Army Space and Missile Defense Command from 2019 to 2024. Brian started his time in the Army after receiving his commission as an Armor Officer through ROTC at Wheaton College, Illinois. He is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Command and General Staff College, the Information Systems and Engineering Management Course, and the Army War College.
His previous assignments include: Director NETCOM Europe & Africa Field Office, Wiesbaden Germany; Deputy Chief, Core Enterprise Services at the NATO Communications and Information Agency, SHAPE Belgium; 1st Infantry Division Information Systems Officer, Fort Riley where he also deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq; Commander, Overland Park Kansas Recruiting Company; Commander, HHC 1-13th Armor, 1st Armored Division, Fort Riley where he also deployed to Iraq; Commander H Troop 3d BCT, 1st Armored Division Fort Riley; Assistant S3 1-13th Armor, 1st Armored Division, Fort Riley; Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Commanding General Fort Knox; Basic Training Company XO, Fort Knox; and Scout Platoon Leader, B Troop, 4-7 Cavalry, Korea.Brian holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, Masters of Science in Management Information Systems from Northern Illinois University, and Masters in Strategic Studies form the US Army War College. His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit (1 OLC), the Bronze Star Medal with 1OLC, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with 3 OLC, the Army Commendation Medal with 4 OLC, the Army Achievement Medal with OLC, the OIF and OEF Campaign Medals, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, Korea Defense Service Medal, NATO Medal, and NATO Meritorious Service Medal.
He is married to the former Mindi Bott of Lawrence, Kansas and they have four children together: Lilian (19), Nicholas (17), Ericson (14), and Annalie (12).
Mark Perry

Mark Perry currently serves as the Director of Public Sector Growth at Spectro Cloud, bringing over 15 years of extensive experience in the technology industry. An Army Infantry Veteran, Mark leverages a disciplined, mission-focused approach to drive strategic growth initiatives within the public sector. Throughout a dynamic career, Mark has successfully engaged across diverse market segments, including Federal, SLED, Civilian agencies, finance, healthcare, and service integrators. Mark is committed to delivering innovative solutions and fostering impactful partnerships that advance mission-critical outcomes for public sector organizations.
Mike Wood
Spectro Cloud, Regional Vice President
Mike Wood is the Regional Vice President for Spectro Cloud Government Solutions. Previously, Mike was the DOD Director at Rancher Government Solutions where he led a team of 10 sales representatives, while also working closely with Marketing and Engineering teams. Mike has over 18 years of experience in Public Sector technology sales as well as several years selling to commercial organizations. He earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University.
