VERTOSOFT AWARDED US AIR FORCE 2GIT BPA CONTRACT

Leesburg, VA – August 10, 2021 – Vertosoft has been awarded a USAF 2nd Generation Information Technology (2GIT) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) from General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS)as a CTA team member of Worldwide Technology. The goal of this BPA is to further reduce the administrative costs of acquiring COTS software from Vertosoft’s GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) GS-35F-688GA.

2GIT plans to provide IT solutions across the federal government as a new collaboration between GSA and the U.S. Air Force. In a move to incorporate small business IT solutions and software, GSA awarded 50 small businesses a 2GIT BPA contract. Improving access to small business is a major goal of GSA.

A vital element of 2GIT is to decrease the risk that is created within the supply chain by providing new cybersecurity solutions. These solutions fall under the FY19 Secure Technology Act, creating a securer supply chain management process for the federal government.

“This 2GIT BPA provides Vertosoft with an important procurement channel to offer emerging technology software solutions to the United States Air Force”, said Vertosoft President Jay Colavita.
