The Cyber AI Mission Defense system ingests raw network traffic from every part of an organization’s digital ecosystem—including IT and Operational Technology (OT), as well as IoT and IIoT—into hundreds of primarily unsupervised machine learning algorithms to learn normal behavior across the organization, for every user, device and subnet. Rather than using retrospective training data or establishing fixed baselines, the algorithms continuously form an adaptive knowledge of activity and self-defense, sometimes called “dynamic pattern of life,” for every device, user, and network segment. The system then detects and mitigates anomalous behavior by enforcing the normal pattern of life, neutralizing threatening behavior with surgical precision by disallowing only the anomalous behavior. Darktrace Federal’s Cyber AI Mission Defense solution can be deployed 100% on-premises, in cloud, and/or hybrid to support global footprints and a wide-range of forward operating scenarios and configurations. Darktrace Federal has obtained FedRAMP High ATO (built to IL-5) as of March 15, 2025. Darktrace solutions have been developed over the past 12 years and have been deployed across thousands of customers globally.
